We are recruiting for an experienced Asbestos Project Manager to carry out asbestos surveys/ air monitoring and project manage remedial and removal works ensuring the company delivers services effectively profitably and in full accordance with the companies policies, procedures and quality systems.

This includes possible involvement in pre and post contract review of job files and other services, site visits, accurate information gathering, personal delivery of site works and management of site works to ensure profitability and excellence.

Key responsibilities:

Delivering all aspects of operational site requirements on the client account, contract or client site that you are responsible for. This role can expect to be delivering technical services on the more complex surveys and PM sites as well as standard contracts. . Assisting with the mentoring /coaching of less experienced site staff technically including technical training. Providing on site client liaison, communicating with other team members, problem solving on site and ensuring the jobs are finished to the client’s satisfaction in accordance with company proposals, quality, and policy and cost requirements. . Completing all paperwork correctly and in a timely manner and completing all QC requirements, report signing, training records in the same timely manner.

Technical

Comply with all quality and technical procedures whilst performing their duties, this role will be expected to undertake complex or large surveys and or PM works. You will also be expected to coach, train and on site manage less experienced staff as part of this position.
You will be required on occasions to audit, carry out pricing visits, attend pre start meetings and to manage clients on site on long term or specific projects.
Complete training records when in training and sign training records if you are the trainer.
Collect, read and review job files from the office or by post and ensure that you make the final check on contents and equipment before proceeding.
Undertake Site Risk Assessments in line with formalised company procedure.
Utilise all site record systems from paper to computer data storage.
Communicate with and manage clients keeping Operations Manager ((field) or contracts manager if appropriate fully informed.
Carry out all surveys in full compliance with training, proposals, technical and quality requirements.
Undertake site sampling of building materials containing asbestos for the identification of asbestos content, ranging from single site specific samples to Management and Refurbishment & Demolition inspection surveys of varying premises.

Produce all formal reports and certificates relating to site work undertaken and to fulfil any administrative roles to produce the final reports as deemed necessary by the Operations Director

Liaise with Operations Manager (Field) Quality/Audit Director to ensure all monthly Quality Control requirements have been completed. Implement any corrective actions arising from audits, observations, anomalies or meetings.
Ensure the site is adequately prepared for works i.e. access, Decontamination Units / Skips.
Liaising with clients throughout the project, ensure that they are briefed if there are any changes to the works or agreed schedule.
Ensure that the Field Operations Manager or (deputy) is made aware of any issues which arise on site be it a survey site or a PM site.
Manage the running of the site throughout the duration of the project; this is to include co-ordination and management of all sub-contractors.
To carry out sampling of airborne dust for the determination of levels of respirable fibres (Air monitoring) in accordance with current health and safety executive guidance HSG248, ‘Analysts Guide’.
To carry out the four stages of site reoccupation following removal or remedial work on asbestos containing materials and to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with current health and safety executive guidance HSG248, ‘Analysts Guide’.
