Harrison Sands are currently looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager for a client of ours to cover London, South East and East Anglia regions.

This role will be focused on generating sales growth of coatings to both existing and new customers primarily through pre-arranged sales calls with key decision makers at target companies. You will be working in a highly competitive market with a clear objective to grow market share across the London and the South East region.

To achieve this, an Account Manager must be able to prioritize target accounts within an assigned geography and develop a clear understanding of. Using solution-selling techniques, an Account Manager will become the preferred supplier for the targeted accounts. Energy, pro-activeness and a ‘never give up’ attitude are essential for an Account Manager to understand customer needs and generate sales with new target clients, share of wallet growth at existing customers and new project wins in key market segments.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role will be:-

Executing the sales budget – Delivering sales plan for the territory by focusing on key strategic areas agreed in the country mission plan and adopting an aggressive approach to gain market share. Ensuring that a sales incentive plan in place to achieve main target in 12 month period (January to December).
Achieving sales targets of new and advantaged products – Increasing sales of defined new and advantaged products in the sales territory aligning product focus with customer needs and the key target segments identified.
Develop and tracking the progress of both key and target account plans.
Develop strong client relationships across the region, ensuring a clear understanding of a client’s business needs and problems.
Actively managing the sales pipeline and providing accurate forecasting.
Prequalify all sales opportunities before engaging.
Support Receivables
The ideal candidate will:-

Be educated to ‘A’ Level standard or the equivalent.
Ideally experience in the Protective or Marine coatings industry.
Have a proven track record in sales
Strong Interpersonal skills to build relationships with both customers, colleagues and sales teams and communicate effectively at all levels.
Drive, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn and to challenge oneself
The ability to deliver under pressure and to increase success rate
Excellent time management and presentation skills
IT literate with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Have the ability to work independently ideally with experience in a field-based, working from home role.
Hold a full driving license and have a willingness to travel extensively (75% travel is expected in this role).
Ideally a NACE Inspector or ICOR qualification
